Kellie Martin is an American actress in television, film as well as stage actor. Her most well-known roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) as well as Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Additionally, she's famous for her role as the main character in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin was born to a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her professional career acting at the age of seven, when her aunt, who was a nanny to Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin to get her a character in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin took her acting career more than just a hobby. Her roles were significant on television as well as on the big screen. Besides being an actress, Martin is a skilled photographer as well as a dancer. Martin's sister, who died of Lupus at the age of 19, led her to becoming the Lupus National spokesperson.
